We are building our Social Policy in accordance with the company's mission and the adopted development strategy. Our vision is based on the principles of good neighborliness, the will to harmonize business interests and needs of all stakeholders, including local communities.
VGK is aware of its status as the biggest coal company in the region. We are interested in the economic growth of all Sakhalin, in particular, we directly associate the company's success with the improvement of the quality of life in the Uglegorsk district.
Among priorities of our Social Policy ranks high ensuring well-being and social protection of our employees. We provide equal opportunities for professional self-realization; we pay considerable attention to professional development and social support of the employees of our enterprises.
Social programs are developed taking into account our employees´ interests and needs.
The company's sponsoring and charitable activities are carried out in strict accordance with the federal laws "On charitable activities and charitable organizations" and "On Advertising". The value for money of charity and sponsorship is evaluated on the basis of compliance with the declared principles, as well as with the budgets allocated for these purposes.
Selecting projects we give preference to the most socially significant programs for local communities.
