The Board Chairman of East Mining Company became a member of Public council of the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East

Only two outgoing members of the Board retained their membership status with 32 newcomers out of 139 selected to hold the office (4 applicants per place). As noted by RF Public Chamber, such intense interest to Public council membership is quite unique.

Oleg Misevra, the Board Chairman of East Mining Company, became a member of the Public council together with two other Sakhalin representatives: Afanasjev Vitali (RPO "Social Initiatives center of Sakhalin and Kurils”) and Ikonnikov Vladimir (RPO "Alexander Nevsky fellowship").

Public council is a standing public control advisory body, which considers the drafts of public regulations and other documents, executed by the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East. The Council is also entitled to control the quality of state services rendered by the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East, anti-corruption initiatives, estimation of public procurement and staff management of the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East.

The new Council members will hold their office for 2 years as from the first meeting to be held in January this year. At this meeting the members will elect the Chairman and will determine the work plan. Currently all the perspective proposals are considered.
